01 · Getting Started

Before connecting Plot MCP, ensure you have:

  • An active Plot workspace
  • An MCP-compatible AI client (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, etc.)

02 · Connecting to Plot MCP

Plot MCP uses OAuth authentication, so you simply log in with your Plot account—no API keys required.

Add as a Custom Connector [Admins only]

In your AI tool of choice, have your tool admin follow these steps to add the custom MCP connector:

For Claude Desktop or Claude.ai:

  1. 1.Open Settings → Connectors → Add (top right) → Add custom connector
  2. 2.Name: “Plot Social Data MCP”
  3. 3.Remote MCP server URL: https://mcp.plot.so/mcp
  4. 4.Install Plot

For ChatGPT:

  1. 1.Open Plugins
  2. 2.Click “+” to the right of the search bar
  3. 3.Name: “Plot Social Data MCP”
  4. 4.Connection: https://mcp.plot.so/mcp
  5. 5.Approve “I understand and want to continue”
  6. 6.Create

For other MCP clients: Add https://mcp.plot.so/mcp as a remote MCP server and complete the OAuth authentication when prompted.

03 · Once Connected

Once connected, users will be able to authenticate the Plot MCP from within their own Claude / ChatGPT / Gemini account. Once they authenticate their own Plot account, they’ll be able to access all Plot workspace data.
