Plot announces $10 million in new funding to accelerate Social Video Intelligence for Marketing Teams
The investment will accelerate Plot's vision for turning social video into actionable intelligence.

Today we're announcing $10M in new funding, co-led by Camille Ricketts at XYZ Venture Capital and Dustin Moring at Mischief Ventures, with participation from Seven Seven Six and Acme Capital. This brings our total raised to $14M.
I want to share what actually drove us to build this.
The people in this industry are some of the most culturally attuned, creative, fast moving professionals I've ever met, and for years we've had to fight to prove it. Not because the work isn't valuable, but because the tools were never built to show it. We built Plot to change that: to give social and community teams the intelligence to move at the speed of culture, and the proof to show why their work matters.
The question was where to start.
We started with the hardest problem: the data itself was broken.
Video is now 76% of all mobile data traffic according to the Ericsson Mobility Report. It's where consumers actually talk about products, discover brands, and build community. And yet every social listening platform was still built for text. If a creator held up your product on camera without ever tagging you, every existing tool missed it completely. Brands were flying blind on the medium that mattered most.
So we spent a year and a half building video intelligence infrastructure from scratch — a system that reads the full context of every video: products on screen, brands in frame, audio, objects, sentiment, creator data and history. The data that was always there but invisible.
“Since using Plot, I've been seeing a 30 percent to 50 percent lift in user-generated content that features our products but does not tag us. This is a big deal because brands like us rely on engaging with our advocates directly,” said Toto Haba, SVP, Global Marketing and Communications at Benefit Cosmetics.
The results were fast and hard to argue with:
- CAVA captures 3x more brand content than before
- Benefit Cosmetics saw a 30–50% lift in UGC featuring their products — including content that never gets tagged
- Consumer research that used to take weeks now takes hours
“Plot has completely changed how we capture community sentiment. Creators aren’t always tagging CAVA so a lot of content was hidden to us in the past. Because Plot pulls in untagged mentions, we are seeing a 3x lift in content we would’ve missed with other tools,” said Andrew Downing, Director of Social Media at CAVA.
“We can see how many videos are made about us, what the sentiment is and how many are about specific topics - there’s so much rich data around our menu items and community, and Plot makes it easy to dive in quickly and actually make sense of it. I believe the Plot team really understands how social teams work and that's really refreshing.”
We grew 3.8x year-over-year with 132% net revenue retention, almost entirely through inbound. But solving the data problem revealed the next one.
As we worked closely with marketing teams using these video signals, we watched the same thing happen everywhere: the intelligence was there, but the workflows to act on it were completely manual.
A community team trying to engage a superfan. A creator team vetting someone for a campaign. An insights team building a research brief and synthesizing results manually. Every team was exporting, copying, clicking through tools, doing work that should take minutes but took days.
The richest consumer data available and teams were still buried in operations.
That's what this raise is about: the next evolution.
We've built the foundation. Now we're building the agentic layer on top of it. A platform that doesn't just surface what's happening in social video, but orchestrates the workflows teams need to act on it.
